Introducing the Merry & Well in Marietta Series: First Stop — Heather Edwards Aesthetics
By Nicole Eastwood | Merry in Marietta
Over the past few months, I’ve been taking a more intentional approach to self-care — not just the occasional spa day, but building thoughtful routines to help me feel my best, inside and out, by connecting with local wellness businesses and experts who support both body and mind.
That’s what inspired this new series: Merry & Well in Marietta — where I’ll be highlighting businesses and practitioners across Marietta who help promote real, lasting wellness. From skincare and massage to Pilates, nutrition, and fitness, I’ll be sharing my journey and inviting you to discover some of the best spots around town.
First up: Heather Edwards Aesthetics, a brand-new skin studio on the Marietta Square where I’ve already had an amazing experience — not just for the treatments, but for Heather’s personal, heart-centered approach to skincare.
A Journey to Better Skin
Heather Edwards brings more than two decades of experience in aesthetics — and a deeply personal passion for helping others feel great in their own skin.
Her career began in 2001 after a shift from studying psychology to pursuing skincare. Having struggled with extremely sensitive, reactive skin herself, Heather knew first-hand how powerful it can be to feel good — and comfortable — in your own skin.
Since graduating from the International School of Skincare, Heather built an impressive career, developing spa programs for salons, dermatology offices, and plastic surgery practices. Now, at 46, she’s opened her own studio on Marietta Square, creating the kind of welcoming, boutique skincare space she’s always dreamed of.
“At this point in my life, I’m looking for a beautiful work-life balance doing work that brings me joy — and helps others feel joy in their skin too,” Heather shared.
Why Marietta?
Though Heather grew up in Gwinnett, her roots in Marietta run deep — her mother’s family has lived here for generations. She and her family moved to Marietta 10 years ago to care for her grandmother, and since then, her love for this community has only grown.
“When the opportunity came up to move my business onto the Square, I didn’t hesitate — this was always where I wanted to be,” Heather said.
Services That Go Beyond Skin Deep
Heather specializes in advanced corrective and medical-grade facial treatments, designed to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether you’re looking to target fine lines, hyperpigmentation, acne, rosacea, or simply want to invest in healthier, glowing skin, Heather builds completely customized treatment plans for her clients — no cookie-cutter facials here.
Some of her most popular treatments include:
• Microdermabrasion
• Dermaplaning
• Advanced chemical peels
• Oxygen facials
• LED light therapy
• Firming peptide lifting treatments
More cutting-edge services like nano-infusion, micro needling, and skin needling are also being added soon.
Every appointment begins with a thoughtful consultation, where Heather takes the time to understand each client’s skin history, lifestyle, goals, and products. The result? A completely tailored experience that evolves with you over time.
More Than Just a Treatment
While Heather’s skill and expertise are clear, what really stands out is the care and connection she brings to her work.
“I’m not here to herd people in and out. I pour my heart into every appointment — I want my clients to feel seen, supported, and educated. It’s about building trust and creating an environment where people feel their best,” she said.
Her studio offers a boutique, calming atmosphere designed to make every client feel comfortable. Treatments may be clinical in quality — but they’re always delivered with warmth, compassion, and care.
Community First
Though she’s new to business ownership on the Square, Heather is already embracing the local spirit.
“Word of mouth and referrals are everything — they build the kind of trust no marketing can replace. And I love supporting other small businesses. That’s the kind of community I want to be part of.”
Heather offers a referral bonus for current clients who bring new faces her way — part of her mission to grow her business through connection, not just clicks.
Pro Tip from Heather: Invest in Serums!
“If you’re going to splurge on one product — make it a good serum. They penetrate deeper and make the biggest difference in your skin.”
My Takeaway
I love discovering businesses that truly help you feel your best — and Heather Edwards Aesthetics is exactly that kind of place. After my first treatment, I honestly felt like she took years of buildup — dirt, oil, dead skin — off my face in a way I never could have done on my own. My skin felt cleaner, brighter, and healthier, and in the days that followed, I realized this was something I wanted to make part of my regular self-care routine — the impact was that noticeable. My skin felt so clean, and my pores honestly haven’t felt this clear after any other treatment (and I’ve tried my fair share!). It was a level of deep refresh I didn’t even know my skin needed.
Expert care, personalized treatments, and the kind of warm energy that makes you feel completely at ease right here in Marietta Square — I can’t recommend Heather enough.
If you’re on a skincare or self-care journey of your own, definitely put Heather on your list. And if you know other local businesses that fit the Merry & Well in Marietta spirit — from wellness studios to spa services, fitness, massage, nutrition, or beyond — send them my way! I’m always on the lookout for more to explore and share. 💛
